Questions You’ve Always Wanted to ask about your Nose Filler
You’ve just done your nose filler, and you are most pleased with the result. (Yay! A higher nose bridge finally!) But there is this nagging, niggling fear that you’d do something stupid that’d botch the result.
We all don’t want to appear silly in front of our doctor, so some patients may end up not asking the questions they want to ask. To save you the embarrassment, here are answers to some questions that we’ve always wanted to ask our doctor post-treatment but never dared.
I am a big pimple on my nose. Can I squeeze the pimple?
Try to minimise contact within the first two days of doing your nose filler. It is also best to leave your pimple alone and apply acne medication over it.
I have sinus problems. Is it ok to blow my nose like I used to or should I be more gentle?
There is no need for special care if you have sinus or a running nose. But of course, it doesn’t hurt to be gentle.
I shouldn’t eat seafood after doing my nose filler. Is that true?
There is no need to avoid any food after your treatment.
What should I tell my therapist during facials?
Please avoid excessive massage to filler areas during facials to preserve the longevity of the filler. So remember to tell your therapist that you’ve had filler done.
What are the chances of infection?
It is not common. If it does happen, antibiotics is used to treat the issue. Common side effects from dermal filler treatments include bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness and slight bleeding at the injection sites, which will go away with time. Allergic reactions and vascular complications can occur, but these complications are very rare.
